Map of Wales - Painting - Original Art

Original ink painting - 'Slate and Gold' Small Welsh Map

Original painting, of a Welsh Map titled 'Slate and Gold' (two beautiful natural elements that can be found in Wales), was created with alchohol inks. The creation of these pieces are wonderful, as you will never get one painting the same due to the fluididy of the ink. Each piece is truly bespoke.  The rivers have been depicted by hand applied Metallic Gold foil leaf.  The Gold changes colour in the light and shines so beautifully as can be seen in the photos.

*This map is representational only- and is not to scale*

It is painted on 320 g/m Nara glossy heavy weight Yupo paper.  This paper gives a specific glossy shine to the finish.  The original painting is mounted within a fantastic quality bevelled cut square aperture which is slightly textured, and off-white in colour. The mount has a hard back to protect the painting, and will also come packaged in a clear bag to keep it in a tip-top condition.

Aperture - 20cm x 20cm

Inner aperture size- 15cm x15cm

Image size - smaller than the aperture

A waterbased varnish has been used to protect the work.

The painting is hand signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

  • Care Instructions

To ensure that the work stays in tip-top condition and doesn’t fade, it is important that it is kept in a picture frame, in an area that is not subjected to high humidity, direct sunlight, or extreme heat (in the vicinity of a radiator).

Although there is a protective varnish applied to the work, please ensure that you handle the painting with care, and be careful not to touch the surface of the painting as the colour can be transposed onto your hands, and to other surfaces, as is the nature of the alcohol ink.

Please be aware of suffocation with regards to the plastic wrapper- keep away from children.
